Hargarden

Hargarden is a blackletter typeface inspired by the logo for the German beer company Rothaus-Brau.

I strayed from the traditional strokes of the blackletter style to weave in my other source of inspiration, the typeface featured on the branding and album material for artist Caroline Polachek and her project Pang. I created sharp, dramatic points to modernize the blackletter style.

This typeface was completed for the course 'CD Studio: Typeface Design' taught at Parsons School of Design by Tobias Holzmann in Fall 2021.
